We are posting a selection of members’ poems that have been discussed at our workshops. We hope that you will enjoy them and that they will also give an indication of the variety of poems discussed. This might help you to decide whether you wish to join us.
Daphne Gloag has had many poems published in magazines. Her prizes include first
prize in a Poetry on the Lake competition (the Silver Wyvern award) and in a Scintilla
short poem competition for ‘The Radio Clock’. Her second collection, A Compression
of Distances, comprises shorter poems and a long sequence with a cosmological setting.
It was published in the autumn 0f 2009 by Cinnamon Press (www.cinnamonpress.com)
and has been well received.
Angela Aratoon was highly commended in the Ealing Arts
Poetry Competition 2009 and Peter Francis won the Pitshanger Poets competition judged
by Mario Petrucci in 2007
